About Murilo Oliveira
Murilo Oliveira is currently the Head of Engineering for Juntos Somos Mais, where he is among others in charge of optimizing the Engineering Teams’ performances and ensuring great synergies between staff working essentially remotely.
Murilo is a software engineer by trade who subsequently stepped in roles of Tech Lead and Engineering Manager to now head the engineering function of Juntos Somos Mais.
He oversees the strategic leadership of all software engineering teams, ensuring smooth alignment between them, projects, and corporate goals.
In this capacity, Murilo needs to analyze complex data in order to make informed strategic decisions and needs to ensure that the performances of his remote teams match expectations and business needs.
Pain / Challenges
Juntos Somos Mais’s Engineering is organized mainly around remote work. The challenge was to factually assess the teams’ performances, based on data and not on gut-feels. Murilo was looking for a tool that could help him have metrics about his teams’ performances.
It was also important for the company to assess employee’s engagement and identify role models to improve the teams’ efficiency and autonomy. As a part of this endeavour, Juntos Somos Mais also wanted to draft individual plans with each engineering team member to be able to bring them to exceptional performances.
Finally, the Engineering organization of Juntos Somos Mais aimed at increasing productivity and reducing Cycle Times, for which they needed to identify pain points and bottlenecks clearly to resolve them.
Why Keypup?
Murilo considered a lot of options. Before implementing Keypup, he was attempting to collect and analyze data in a manual way, by exporting large amounts of data from various systems into Excel spreadsheets and trying to make sense of it using pivot tables for instance.
